People Optimization System

The People Optimization System

Five pillars that decide whether an organization works, and one thing that runs through all five. This is the map β€” what each pillar asks, where its resources live, and where to start if you do not yet know which one is costing you the most.

Every pillar has a book, an Implementation Guide, an assessment and a library of printables. The printables are free. There is nothing to buy to use them, and nobody who downloads one is added to a mailing list.

The five pillars

No order is implied. Which one you work first is a question about where the cost is right now.

Direction Optimization

Does everyone know where this organization is headed β€” well enough to say it in their own words and act on it in an ordinary week? A direction that lives on a wall and nowhere else is not operating.

Values Optimization

Are the values you published the ones people actually use to decide when it costs something? A value is not what you wrote down. It is what survives pressure.

Leadership Optimization

Do the people leading here know how to lead, or were they promoted for being good at the job and left to work the rest out alone? Most were left to work it out.

Growth Optimization

Is anybody here getting better on purpose? Growth that happens by accident happens to a few people. Growth that is built happens to everybody, and it is the difference between keeping your best and replacing them.

Experience Optimization

What is it actually like to work here, and to buy from here? Those two answers are closer to each other than most organizations expect, and both are decided long before anyone writes a review.

Communication Optimization

Does what you meant arrive as what they heard? Communication is not a sixth pillar sitting beside the others. It is how the other five are transmitted β€” which is why it carries the whole ring rather than a colour of its own.

If you do not know which one to start with

Start with the four-minute assessment.

Twenty-five questions that score all five pillars at once and tell you which one is costing you the most right now β€” plus a separate read on whether the problem is the pillar itself or the way it is being communicated. It does not sell you anything and it does not add you to a list.

Then go one level down. Each pillar has its own assessment, longer and more specific, that names the chapter of its Implementation Guide you should open first. Working on the wrong pillar carefully is slower than working on the right one badly.

The books and the guides

Each pillar has two halves. The Advantage book is the case β€” the stories, the frameworks, why any of it matters. The Optimization Implementation Guide is the work β€” an assessment that tells you where to open it, and the printables you fill in. You can read the book without the Guide. The Guide assumes you have read the book.

Every printable either Guide points to is free on that pillar’s resource page. Find the ID printed in the book, print as many copies as you need.
